Region

A region, in DDSIntel data, is a fixed group of counties within a state, listed with each index release.

Regions are the smallest geography at which the Dental Transition Index is published. Holding the county list fixed keeps month-to-month values comparable, and combining counties keeps cells large enough that no single practice can be identified.
