Corrections

When a published figure or news item changes, we record it here: the date, what changed, and why. The original value stays visible on the archived page with a link to its entry.

What we correct

  • Errors in published statistics. If an index, chart or county figure was wrong when published, we correct it, log it here and update the CSV.
  • Errors in a practice record. Owners can correct their own record in the owner area. Those changes flow into the next monthly release; if one changes a published figure, it is logged here.
  • Revisions from late source data. When a public source publishes records late, we revise the affected month and log it as a revision rather than a correction.
  • Errors in the daily briefing. If a summary misstates its source, we correct the item, note the correction on it and log it here.

We reply to every request within five business days and tell you what we changed, or why we did not.

Fixing it at the source

Most errors start in a public record. Correcting it there fixes it for everyone who uses that record, including us. We pick up the change on the source's next release.

Request a correction or opt out

What would you like to do?
Include a link to the record that shows the correct value, if you have one.
Any email works here, including personal addresses.

What opting out does

Your practice is removed from Practice Dossiers, Deal Radar, the Comps Ledger and data contracts within 10 business days, and stays removed until you ask us to restore it.

Your location is still counted in statewide and county statistics, because those totals are built from public records and would be wrong without it. No published statistic identifies a single practice; we suppress shares for counties with fewer than 10 practices.

Practice Verify returns license and entity standing as the public source shows it. If you opt out, it returns only what the public source shows, with no DDSIntel record attached.
