A DSO-affiliated location is a practice location whose owning or managing entity is linked, in corporate filings or permitted licensed data, to a dental support organization.

Affiliations through private agreements may not be visible, so DDSIntel treats its DSO-affiliated counts as a floor. This is a count of locations, not dentists, and the two measures should not be compared directly.
