Collections multiple: A collections multiple is a dental practice’s price expressed as a multiple, or percentage, of its annual collections.

A collections multiple is a dental practice’s price expressed as a multiple, or percentage, of its annual collections.

It is a quick rule of thumb in dentist-to-dentist sales because collections are easy to verify from the practice’s own system. It ignores cost structure, so two practices with equal collections but different overhead ratios can deserve very different prices.
